Meet Our Therapist Team

Hannah Sherman, LCSW (she/her)
Psychotherapist & Founder

I specialize in trauma recovery, identity issues, mood and emotional regulation, anxiety, and depression. I work to empower individuals and families to identify and utilize their inherent strengths to navigate obstacles and interpersonal challenges. As a queer identified therapist, I’m committed to approaching my work with curiosity, affirmation, compassion and authenticity.

I work through a collaborative and creative process that integrates various therapeutic modalities, including elements of psychodynamic, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic-based approaches. By using a compassionate, client-centered approach, I support others in developing an authentic and welcoming sense of self. My therapeutic approach employs a culturally-informed lens and is rooted in a social justice framework.

I’m available to meet with client’s virtually for online video sessions, or at my office in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.

Kendall Kolenik, LMSW (she/her)
Psychotherapist

I help individuals in recovery from addiction, codependency, and the lasting effects of growing up in challenging family environments. I also support teens and adults healing from attachment wounds and exploring patterns that impact their relationships and daily lives. My goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves through curiosity, compassion, and self-awareness.

With a trauma-informed approach, I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic therapy, and psychodynamic perspectives. As a yoga teacher, I bring a mind-body lens to therapy, incorporating body-based practices that support nervous system regulation and deeper self-connection.

I believe healing is both deeply personal and shaped by the world around us. My work is rooted in a social justice framework, and I strive to create a supportive, culturally responsive space where growth and transformation can unfold.

I’m available to meet with clients virtually for online video sessions.

Maya Street-Sachs, LMSW (she/her)
Psychotherapist

I am a psychodynamic therapist with more than 5 years experience working with young people and their families, including pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults. I provide a warm, open, flexible, and non-judgmental space for young people to work through and grapple with their identity issues, relationships, anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery.

My therapeutic approach is individualized and adaptable - allowing my clients to find a voice as well as a sense of empowerment and self-discovery through their experience with therapy. Using elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and other mindfulness-based approaches, I guide clients in building practical coping tools, cultivating self-awareness, and deepening their capacity for emotional regulation. I strive to practice therapy through a structurally competent lens, keeping in mind how racist and rigid structures and systems in this modern life affect the mental health and wellbeing of the individual.

I’m available to meet with clients virtually for online video sessions.

The goals of my practice are to help you:

  • Learn tools to begin to heal from painful experiences

  • Develop your sense of self and self-confidence

  • Improve insight and self-awareness

  • Identify and utilize mindfulness-based coping tools

  • Gain confidence in asking for what you want and need in life

  • Find ways to thrive rather than just survive

I have experience treating:

  • Depression and anxiety spectrums

  • Identity and LGBTQ+ issues

  • Life transitions and stress, including immigration and family separation

  • Family systems and relationship issues

  • Body image issues
