Hannah Sherman, LCSW (she/her)
Psychotherapist & Founder
I specialize in trauma recovery, identity issues, mood and emotional regulation, anxiety, and depression. I work to empower individuals and families to identify and utilize their inherent strengths to navigate obstacles and interpersonal challenges. As a queer identified therapist, I’m committed to approaching my work with curiosity, affirmation, compassion and authenticity.
I work through a collaborative and creative process that integrates various therapeutic modalities, including elements of psychodynamic, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic-based approaches. By using a compassionate, client-centered approach, I support others in developing an authentic and welcoming sense of self. My therapeutic approach employs a culturally-informed lens and is rooted in a social justice framework.
I’m available to meet with client’s virtually for online video sessions, or at my office in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
